Volunteer with Us

Give your time and help save lives right here in Eccleshall.

Why Volunteer?

Becoming a Community First Responder is one of the most impactful things you can do for your community. You'll be trained to respond to life-threatening emergencies and could genuinely be the difference between life and death for a neighbour, a stranger, or a friend.

You don't need any medical background to apply — West Midlands Ambulance Service will train you from scratch. You just need to live or work in the local area and be willing to commit some time to training and on-call availability.

What's Involved

Once qualified, you'll be available to respond to certain types of 999 calls in the Eccleshall area. You'll use your own vehicle (expenses may be covered) and carry equipment provided by the scheme. When not on call, you'll take part in regular training to keep your skills current.

Other Ways to Volunteer

No medical training needed. There are plenty of ways to support Eccleshall CFRs behind the scenes — and every bit of help keeps the scheme running.

🎯

Fundraising

Help us plan and run fundraising events — sponsored challenges, community raffles, collection days. Everything you raise goes directly towards our vehicle, kit, and training.

📣

Raising Awareness

Help spread the word about what we do — at local events, on social media, or simply talking to people in the community. The more people know about us, the more support we can attract.

Vehicle & Kit Care

Our response vehicle and equipment need to be kept clean, tidy, and ready to go. Helping with regular upkeep might seem small, but it matters enormously to the team on call.

🤝

Event Support

Join us at community events and awareness days — help set up, man a stall, or just be there to talk to people about how to access emergency care and support the scheme.

📱

Social Media & Comms

Help us tell our story online — writing posts, sharing updates, taking photos at events. A strong social media presence helps us recruit, fundraise, and keep the community engaged.

📋

Admin & Grant Support

Help with the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the charity running — from grant applications and correspondence to organising records and supporting the committee.
